Exam Content Domains

The exam is based on 5 domains:

  1. Foundation Model Integration, Data Management, and Compliance
  2. Implementation and Integration
  3. AI Safety, Security, and Governance
  4. Operational Efficiency and Optimization for GenAI Applications
  5. Testing, Validation, and Troubleshooting

Mostly things circle around Bedrock, flow orchestration using different services using bedrock flow and step function, and balancing cost, performance, and security, PII finding and redaction in multiple process.

My Point of View

Few things I want to highlight based on my experience:

  • This is a professional-level exam — it’s NOT about a single service. Questions use multiple services, and the correct path might technically work, but may not be the best fit. That distinction matters.
  • You must have practical knowledge. Theory alone won’t cut it here.
  • You may not have used every service, but the common ones are expected knowledge.
  • The exam doesn’t ask about edge cases, however, it does check the depth of your understanding.
  • You have less than 3 minutes per question — that’s 100-300 words to read, understand, and figure out. Time management is real.
  • Going through official documentation, the learning plan, and practice tests really helps — even free ones.
  • Coding is not an essential skill for this exam.

Final Note

If you have hands-on experience with Bedrock and understand how AWS services work together for GenAI workloads — you’re in a good spot. Focus on the official learning plan, do the practice tests, and manage your time well during the exam.
